"The sovereign state has become obsolete." -- Klaus Schwab…. Really? That is by way of saying that both constitutional limits on scope of governing power, and democratic methods of gaining and expressing the will and consent of the governed--are obsolete. Because, whatever difficulties we may have had in perfecting those ideals in past and present sovereign states.... are only multiplied a thousandfold when contemplating a global entity. If there is one world government, there will be no way to prevent, correct or escape the abuses of power that will inevitably occur. At least not without a world war each time. Schwab weirdly dismisses all human problems (which are in reality problems in human nature) as simply technical problems in methodology and enforcement. According to him, there is no major problem deciding WHAT should be done. There are no difficult choices to be made among competing values and interests. Nope, it's just a matter of the smartest people figuring how to achieve their nice-sounding goals, and then forcing the rest of humanity to obey. That last part-- the obedience part-- will soon be easy however, what with universal surveillance and universal control over all individual and group movements, and even over all communications. Universal travel controls (vaccine passports, anyone?) and universal censorship ("content moderation", anyone?) will be vigorously imposed. Digital currencies (under "central bank"control) will play an important role as well. What could possibly go wrong? If you cannot see what will surely go wrong, you are already there. If you can see what will surely go wrong, you better get busy figuring out how we can stop this train.
